and yarn selection are critical components when customizing the design of your filter cloth.

Filter press cloth designs can feature all monofilament, mono/multifilament, multi/monofilament,
or all multifilament yarns depending on your unique needs. Certain applications may also take
advantage of “Spun” filaments when filtrate clarity is of the utmost importance. Weave pattern
is also a critical design element of a customer filter press cloth. The most common weave
patterns are Plain, Twill, and Sateen.


1).Plain Weave:
Plain weaves are used in a variety of situations and feature strong particle retention.
2). Twill Weave:
When an application requires the best mechanical strength, wear, and stretch resistance, as well as
good cake release and blinding resistance, a Twill weave is often the best choice. The 3 x 1 Broken
Twill is a popular upgrade further enhancing performance.
3). Sateen Weave:
In most filtration applications today, the Sateen Weave is utilized for ultimate performance,
yielding excellent cake release as well as resistance to blinding.
