Dust Collector Filters bag

Dust collector filters are one of the most popular and effective filtration systems for capturing
industrial dusts and other small particulates. They are generally used for dry dusts in dry flow
situations; however, some dust filter bags can be used in flow streams with a minimal amount
of liquid present without adverse effect.

Continuous Cleaning Cartridges or Bag House Units
Dust filter bags come in two main categories: continuous cleaning cartridges, which do not utilize a
fabric bag, and bag house units, which do. Bag house units often use a reverse-pulse system which
sends air or gas through the bag house using a venturi nozzle while the bags are held in place in a
wire cage. This pulsing air in turn dislodges dust particulates, allowing the dust collector filter to
continue operating at optimal levels. Other systems may use a mechanical shaker or sonic vibration
to clean dust.

The many media of dust collector filter bags :
Dust collector filters are available in a very wide range of different media types, which can be
selected based on the  needs of the system and the priorities of the client. Some common
media types include:

  • Polyester
  • Cellulose
  • Fiberglass
  • Synthetic blends
  • Nomex
  • Teflon
  • PTFE membrane coated fabrics

The PTFE membrane coated fabrics allow the dust collector filter to meet high efficiency particulate
arrestance (commonly referred to as “HEPA”) requirements.

Gulf Coast Filters provides a wide selection of dust collector filters available in a full range of media
types, sizes, and other specifications. We also supply the fabric socks used for bag house applications.
