Filter press cloth are the cloth material that fit between filter press plates. They are sized to fit the
particular press plates where they will be used. Cloth size is usually based on the filter press plate’s
width and is typically measured in millimeters or meters. For example a filter press cloth may be

or simply plates. The number of plates used for filtration varies significantly based on the required
specifications of the application. For example as few as 4 plates up to as many as 200 plates may be
used. The filter press cloths trap the contaminants in solid batches known as filter cakes.
